Mukti Echwantono, Photographer

Mukti Echwantono was born in September 22 in Malang, Indonesia, and delves into the paths of photography in 2006.

Photographer mystical depths, for whom beauty, as Baudelaire would say, is sad and burning. His photography is imbued with the states of human mind ... happiness, sadness, pain, darkness and mystery. In every picture of him always arise emotion and feeling.

Herewith a couple of questions for you but please feel free to add anything you might want to. You can be as elaborate as you want on your answers!

 From which age or happening did you start having an interest in photography?

I have been interested in photography since 2006, starting from photographing from a concert music stage

Who do you greatly admire in the photographic arena and in other areas of the arts?

I really admire the work of photograpy of Imogen Cunningham, Paolo Roversi, Francesca Woodman, Sarah Moon and Ellen Rogers

Do you think of particular themes at a time and how much time do you spend on planning this?

For sure, I think of a theme for each project, usually takes about 2-3 months for a Project

Do you have to travel much to get exactly that special scene for your photography?

Sometimes, if the location is what I need for the suitability of a theme

Do you often just see something and know you have to capture it right away?

Sometimes, but I also sometimes imagine a place that I have seen before

Do you consider freedom of expression in art a fundamental right of creators and why?

Yes, I think the restrictions on artwork will kill creativity itself.

Do you think that creativity should be a priority of educational systems and how would you encourage it?

Yes, through the right education program, it will trigger a new creativity, because art inspires others to do new things

Let's talk about creativity. What role should creativity play in society?

Creativity is one of the abilities that plays an important role in human life. This ability is based on intellectual abilities, such as intelligence, talent and learning outcomes skills. and creativity plays an important role in making a Civilization

What message would you like to convey with your photography?

I combine poetry and photography. and I inserted some of the messages behind my work, so that the audience cared more about the people around them

What or who inspires you?

Sometimes I am inspired by a book or daily event around us

What are your other interests?

Music and nature, sometimes I like tracking to the mountaintop around my city
