 INTERVIEW

Thank you so much for agreeing to an interview for our new arts initiative.
Herewith a couple of questions for you but please feel free to add anything you might want to. You can be as elaborate as you want on your answers!

From which age or happening did you start having an interest in photography?
I have been interested in photography since I was a child, this is the magic that surrounds me with my childhood and adolescence, I remember my brother and I went to different places and made black and white photos, it was a wonderful feeling and it lasted as long as possible. I want to find some way in this twisted world.

Who do you greatly admire in the photographic arena and in other areas of the arts?
When it comes to photographs, this is a difficult question, I try to keep up to date with current trends, but honestly I like the photo from the 20th century, especially to the 70s and 80s, I mean Diane Arbus, Walker Evans, Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz, Brassai, Henri Cartier - Bresson, I could change like that forever, other fields of art that influence me are literature - Roland Topor and definitely a film - especially the work of Tarkovski.

Do you think of particular themes at a time and how much time do you spend on planning this?
Sometimes it is a spontaneous action, I go past something that I'm interested in and I think that it's worth photographing, it is like touching a force above me, but I admit there are also other situations that require preparation for the main theme, for example the last I'm thinking of a tree project, I noticed that almost every tree is different and it's worth to see people in my photos.

Do you have to travel much to get exactly that special scene for your photography?
oh yes, I think that traveling for each photographer is very important, you can not limit yourself only to the narrow area where we live or work, because sooner or later, we find that we feel bored and monotonous, personally I like traveling in many cities and other attractive places, it winds me, inspires me to continue working, then I feel strength and I am in my own element.

Do you often just see something and know you have to capture it right away?
it happens so that after a few days I am sure and I say "this is what I was looking for."

Do you consider freedom of expression in art a fundamental right of creators and why?
Art is the freedom to express one's self in the brutal and mechanized world that surrounds us, this is my motto. Maybe for some it is just a cliché and a truism but for me it is a fact.

Do you think that creativity should be a priority of educational systems and how would you encourage it?
let us not be robots, dry concepts will not allow us to understand the world, do not accept uncritically information that reaches us virtually from everywhere, educational systems should teach thinking, art here plays a very important role, because each of us through learning with it, learns independence.

Let's talk about creativity. What role should creativity play in society?
I could put it in the following way: creativity is internal development, lack of creativity is a spiritual emptiness leading straight to death.

What message would you like to convey with your photography?
Get into a different dimension and see what we can not see, think about what love, death, terror, hatred and loneliness mean, I prefer black and white photography, in my opinion it is the most able to highlight small details and is characterized by an unbelievable emotional charge.

What or who inspires you?
People, architecture, nature and history. Everything that exists between life and death.

What are your other interests?
In short: music, literature and film, these are my interests.
Many, thanks for providing us with your information. I appreciate the time you have given!

With kind regards.
